The Workers' Compensation Laws recently changed in making it harder in some cases for those who suffer injuries at work to receive benefits. In Missouri, to receive the benefits provided by the Workers' Compensation Laws, an injured worker now is required to prove that the incident or accident that caused the injury was the prevailing cause of the workers injury and disability from their work. When you are seriously injured at work, the law provides for you to receive reimbursement of a portion of your lost weekly wages as well as the payment of your medical bills by your employer or their insurer for treatment for the injuries that are reasonably related to the accident. The law also provides in many cases for a lump sum settlement payment to reimburse the employee for the injury or disability that they incurred upon determination of the extent of the injury. This is generally a negotiable settlement, and many times it is a good idea to hire an attorney who is well versed in Workers' Compensation law to help you get fairly treated under the law and factual circumstances of your particular claim. THE KRUPP LAW FIRM can help you to get fair treatment under the Workers' Compensation Laws. We handle these type of cases for you on a contingent attorney's fee arrangement where you do not pay any legal fees or costs up front until the case or claim ends up in a settlement or a verdict or an order in your favor at a later date. Contact THE KRUPP LAW FIRM to help you.
Disability Insurance Policy claims are sometimes wrongfully denied or cut off prematurely by disability insurance companies. This can cause financial and other hardship to disabled or injured persons who have previously paid or their employer has paid for the insurance policy to cover their lost income in the event of a serious injury, illness or other disability. You may need THE KRUPP LAW FIRM to help you get the insurance company to either begin or to continue your monthly disability payments while you are unable to return to your job position. Sometimes they will even cause your medical bills or insurance to be cut off or terminated. Do not try to handle the denied disability claim yourself, call THE KRUPP LAW FIRM to get the help that you need and deserve to pursue your claim.
Age discrimination at work has evolved into a real problem for the over forty (40) age group of workers. Big companies may wrongfully force an otherwise capable employee out of their job simply due to their advancing age. This can cause extended periods of unemployment for the discarded worker, or it may cause them to take a lesser paying job and suffer a significant loss in income. There are laws that protect individuals from age discrimination. If you have been the victim of age discrimination at work, contact us.
